Esteemed film and television writer Stacey Sheree maybe a novice to Hollywood but with a knockout feature Queen of Wimbledon and tv pilots like Georgia Green and Five North she is seamlessly procuring the hearts and minds of entertainments most prominent gatekeepers.
It’s not everyday that registered nurse decides to conquer two worlds: healthcare and hollywood but thats part of this new writers allure that people find so intriguing. When asked how this all came together Stacey replies “ Books have been best friends and biggest allies from day one. Storytelling is like breathing to me …its something I just can’t help but do at this point in my life and I’m kind of great at it. But nursing gave me purpose and direction and I discovered how to connect with people in a myriad of ways which heavily influences my writing”.
Stacey prides herself in writing stories that normalize the black female LGBTQ experience with a voice that is not only captivating but doused in rawness, humor, and truth that is rarely seen in black cinema. She makes it loud and clear that she is in the emotional delivery business and she gives her audiences a reason to fall in love and keep coming back for more.
Stacey is a self proclaimed jersey girl with county roots, book worm, sexy geek, and foodie. She currently lives in Silver Spring, MD and when she isn’t writing for her life she is being a mom to her twins and annoying her amazing girlfriend.
